At Karma You Yoga I offer a variety of yoga classes for all levels of experience and skill. My teaching is always warm, inclusive and friendly with an infusion of focus on energy. Challenging yourself is important and I will always help you to do this while opening the conversation between your mind and body. I offer a range of classes including pregnancy yoga, yin yoga, and hot yoga to those located in or around .
As a yoga teacher and Reiki master, my aim is to share my energy and lead different yoga classes at a number of venues. All of the classes are available for both beginners and more advanced individuals. On Tuesdays at 6.30am and Thursdays at 6pm I offer beginners flow yoga at Marshside Swim School, working with you to develop your skills. Vinyasa flow yoga teaches students to coordinate their movements with the breath to flow from one pose to another. Vinyasa roughly translates into arranging something in a special way , which I will do with you when it comes to your yoga poses.
There are several benefits to this type of yoga, one of which is the strengthening of muscles and posture. Vinyasa yoga has both mental and physical benefits, improving your body and mind. Physically we sweat during yoga and it is this that releases toxins from our system, re-energising our bodies. The synchronicity of breathing helps to relax the mind, releasing any mental blockages of energy and instead encouraging them to flow through our bodies.
Benefits of Pregnancy Yoga
Providing a place for you to find some relaxation and a sense of calm is key to my classes.
Pregnancy yoga is a great way of focusing on yourself at the same time as connecting your body with your baby. Every week I take on different topics and practice unique breathing techniques to help with nausea and mood swings. Focusing mainly on breathing, pelvic floor muscles, and calmness, we develop posture and a calm approach to pregnancy.
There are several benefits to taking part in pregnancy yoga, including a decrease in lower back pain and working to improve sleep. Practicing yoga can help you to get through the process of labour by encouraging new breathing techniques, relaxing meditations, and mantras.
