In my yoga classes I like to provide a place that you can find a sense of calm and take some time to yourself to relax. This allows you to have quiet, reflective time to focus on yourself and connect to your body and baby. We focus on different topics in class each week, including focussing on postures that ease morning sickness and back pain, and practicing breathing that helps reduce mood swings and nausea. We mainly focus on breathing, calmness and pelvic floor muscles, as we not only help you develop your posture, but to be calm in all other aspects of your journey.
During your pregnancy, we work on your flexibility and strength as this helps keep you in shape, but however this also helps you get back into shape after birth as well. We work alongside you to prepare you for labour, as doing yoga is the perfect way to increase your flexibility and strength. We can prepare you for labour by encouraging different breathing techniques, mantras and relaxing meditations. Another benefit of pregnancy yoga is it enables you meet other mothers to be who are in the same situation as you. You can talk to other pregnant women, reassure each other and relate to them, knowing you're all in the same boat. The social aspect of doing yoga is beneficial for mothers-to-be as it provides a safe, supportive space that caters to their specific pregnancy needs.

Meeting expecting mums - who you can relate and talk to. A lot of my mums remain friends and the children grow together. Breathing techniques to allow you to relax, energise or destress you and even aid you during labour and contractions. Pelvic floor exercises one of my most important tips and exercises during my classes. Benefiting our mummies before and after pregnancy. Guided meditations with yoga nidra (yogic sleep) taking well deserved time for themselves Mantras and affirmations helping to focus your mind and empower you whenever you need it. Visualisation techniques power on the mind and your inner strength Mudras - hand positions to guide the apana and energies. The Holistic and spiritual side of just letting go.
